THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners is exclusively engaged with a well-established private equity firm to hire a new Investment Associate for the European Growth Equity Team. This firm has significantly grown its assets under management, with a dedicated team of over 30 professionals. The firm specialises in growth equity investments within the Consumer, Tech, Services, and Healthcare sectors, primarily across Europe, utilising a value creation approach to investment.

THE ROLE:

Focusing on transactions up to £100m. This role provides a unique opportunity to engage with both mid-size deals and larger-scale investments, allowing for comprehensive exposure and professional development in private equity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in sourcing, analysing, and executing investment opportunities and managing ongoing investments to drive growth and returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct rigorous due diligence and financial analysis to evaluate investment opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes.

  • Work closely with portfolio company management to implement strategic initiatives and track performance.

  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for the investment committee.

  • Engage with industry professionals to source new investment opportunities and build long-lasting relationships.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, with a preference for an MBA or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, or management consulting.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach.

  • Authorisation to work in the UK is required.
