THE SEARCH:

We are pleased to be partnering with a Private Equity backed business based in Munich to hire a Deputy CFO. The role with extensive exposure to the PE backers as well as the C-SUITE. Experience of managing statutory and transactional finance teams is essential

THE ROLE:

  • Take the lead in group international consolidation

  • Maintain technical knowledge in the applicable German GAAP accounting and reporting standard

  • Ensuring compliance throughout the finance function in respect to German GAAP and IFRS

  • Own the general technical accounting process including responsibility for relevant iT Tools

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A completed University degree in Business, Economics or Accountancy

  • At least 8 years of relevant work experience in a Big Four finance / audit function

  • Proven experience in managing group accounts and consolidation as well as managing group audit processes

  • Deep knowledge of German GAAP,

  • Experience in working on M&A projects and 1st time consolidation of entities

  • Ideally CPA/ACA Qualified

  • Ability to work autonomously and not rely on junior team members

  • You communicate easily with C-Level stakeholders

  • You have the maturity and emotional awareness to identify the key issues within the technical finance function

  • In addition to a service-oriented mindset you are also result-driven

  • Fully fluent (written and spoken) German and English language skills are a pre-requisite

  • Experience of working in a PE backed asset(preferred)
