​THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners have been retained by a Private Equity backed Healthcare(Buy and build) in the Netherlands to find a Head of Finance. The Head of Finance is part of the Shared Service Centre of a large Private Equity backed business, leads the finance team and is responsible for financial control and the realisation of financial objectives. Together with the regional managers, the Head of Finance develops tactical financial policy and makes proposals to the Board for financial strategic policy.

 

THE ROLE:
  • Achieving the (re)organisation of the financial processes, organising the provision of information to the European head office, positioning finance as a fully fledged (business) partner for the organisation and bringing the team to a higher level of performance;

  • Developing, together with the regional managers, tactical financial policy and making proposals, upon request or on his own initiative, to the board of directors concerning strategic financial policy.

  • Planning, coordinating, managing and supporting employees, third party activities, processes and resources;

  • Responsible for the qualitative and quantitative staffing of the department in line with the annual plan.

 
THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experienced, ambitious and driven Finance manager with an academic work and thinking level;

  • Completed financial education (preferably in the field of accounting), complemented with several years of leadership experience;

  • Capable of switching and communicating at different (abstraction) levels and of creating a basis of support. Experience in managing cultural and change processes;

  • Analytical, strong personality with a hands-on mentality and able to keep an overview. Good listening skills, the ability to ask questions, to determine direction and to enthuse employees.

  • Decisive, enterprising, organisation-sensitive, solution- and result-oriented, a connector with executive power. Knows how to set the right priorities.
