THE SEARCH:
Altus Partners have partnered with a global investment bank offering banking, securities and investment management services. The organisation is looking for a Management Accountant to join their expanding finance team. The business is highly reputable and offers the opportunity to grow with the firm and an entrepreneurial environment where you will get involved in more than your typical traditional management accounting role.
THE ROLE:
Maintaining strong financial control of the general ledger, accurate and timely management information, including budgets, variances from the budget and the production of KPIs which aligned to the business needs
Control certain balance sheet areas and production of reconciliations and analytical information to ensure appropriate treatments
Preparation of monthly management accounts and management reporting, including analysis and commentary
Working with the wider business to maintain and review budgets and forecasts
Provision of timely & accurate management information
Actively contributing to the strengthening of the Finance team and identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and analysis
Assisting with regulatory reporting
Assisting with preparation of statutory accounts at year
Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring end
Liaison with external auditors throughout the audit process

THE REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications: ACA/ACCA/CIMA
University degree or equivalent
1- 3 years' post-qualified experience
Brokerage or investment banking experience is desirable
System experience: Sage 200 or Sage 50
Good verbal and written communication skills
High personal/professional ethics and integrity
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines and to deliver high-quality output in line with requirements, often defined by others
