Altus Partners has partnered exclusively with a leading Private Equity Investment Manager that is going through exponential growth phase and is looking to bring on a Manager to join the successful and dynamic Investment Operations team based in London. The Manager will be responsible for all finance, portfolio management, valuations and deal support for the head of office in London. The role will work with the deals and execution team in deal structuring, transaction processing, finance, review of and oversight of valuation and financial reporting for the investments globally.
This role covers the finance and valuations aspects of deal support and on-going monitoring of the investment structure and valuations across the Private Equity assets and is expected to work closely with various internal and external stakeholders. The role is also expected to support the Team Lead in various finance transformation initiatives related to the global finance team.
Manage relationships with Investment Teams, Tax, Legal and external advisors to provide finance expertise on deal closing and on-going portfolio management.
Oversight of accounting, valuations implications and manage various work streams with internal stakeholders and external advisors during investment and exit processes
Provide financial and operational inputs on holding structures and funding mechanics for Private Equity Assets
Review monthly market value updates, prepare variance, and returns analysis.
Liaise with internal valuations team and deal team where internal valuations are utilised
Partner with the operations team to fulfil all ad-hoc operational requirements
Work closely with the Team Lead to design and implement various finance improvement initiatives and analytics as part of business transformation
Investment support to Europe real assets function where required
Qualified Accountant with a background in valuations, audit, or transaction services
At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a fund finance function (ideally within Private Equity in supporting direct transactions)
Good understanding of deal closing mechanics
Strong Stakeholder management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and deliver to deadlines
Proven teamwork abilities with an interest in developing new skills and knowledge
