Altus Partners are delighted to be partnered with a leading Asset Manager based in London. As the Senior Controller for finance you will be responsible for Investment Services for the Private Market and financial management across the group. This division is responsible for providing operations, investor reports, budgeting, forecasting, tax, and general accounting. You would be managing a small team of qualified accountants along with having full ownership of the UK finance team.

THE ROLE:
  • Oversee the Finance and Accounting functions of the Private Market group in Europe and liaising with the Real Estate/Private Equity/Infrastructure business unit and Head office on business/corporate requirements.

  • Provide financial and operational inputs on holding structures, funding mechanics, assess other accounting/valuations implications and manage various work streams with internal stakeholders and external advisors during investment/divestment process

  • Prepare and review market valuation for private investments in line with corporate valuation policy

  • Oversee transaction accounts, cash management and liaising with banks on funding requirements across different countries.

  • Review accounting and management reports for investment assets and holding companies.

  • Provide oversight on the organizing and maintenance of investment holding platform in UK and Luxembourg 

THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Accountancy.

  • Minimum 12 years relevant working experience (ideally within either Real Estate, Private Equity or Infrastructure)

  • Ideally with at least 3 years in a public accounting firm doing Audit or Advisory.

  • Experience of managing teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, who is keen to learn and pick up new challenges in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
