​THE SEARCH:

Altus partners are exclusively working with a family office with years of experience investing in companies operating in diverse sectors. The company is looking at several different investment opportunities covering new technologies and property and is looking for a Head of Private Investment/CEO to build a robust long-term strategy for how the investment business builds out, predominantly on the execution of investments and portfolio management.​

THE ROLE:
  • You will be covering private equity investments, financing and property

  • You will be working on the execution of acquisitions, origination of investments, carrying out an initial investment appraisal, and due diligence of acquisitions

  • You will be formulating investment strategies and managing the day-to-day implementation of strategies and policies to achieve strategic returns and meet risk objectives.

  • Full involvement in all aspects of the transactional process, including screening of investment projects, the preparation of analysis at various stages, the undertaking of due diligence, and responsibility for deal execution

  • You will ensure high integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of investment decisions to protect the assets and ensure minimal risks and maximum contributions to the financial health of the Company

  • Establishing and growing the network and mapping of the global PE community

  • You will oversee the improvement of internal analysis, reporting and controls around existing portfolios

  • Ensuring that the investment portfolios comply with legal, regulatory, audit, and tax requirements

THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5- 10 years’ experience working within asset management, private equity, investment banking or relevant financial institutions

  • Considerable post-qualification experience in financial services, and a professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, ICAEW, ICS A, MRICS or LLB

  • Sound technical and professional services knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients, and business contacts

  • A background in mergers and acquisitions with the detail of due diligence (Ideal but optional)

  • A natural leader and expert in their field
