THE SEARCH:
Altus Partners has partnered exclusively with a growing Real Estate Investment Manager (4Bn AUM) that is going through exponential growth phase and is looking to bring on a Director to have oversight of the Investment Operations, Portfolio Management and Fund Management functions based in London. The Director will be the main point of contact for all fund management responsibilities including portfolio reporting, performance, monitoring, structuring, valuations, and transactions support across Europe. The role will manage and be the main point of contact for the team across Europe. The role will work with senior management and Partners to ensure the smooth running and development of the fund management function.
THE ROLE:
The role will work with the deals and execution team in deal structuring and closing, transaction processing, finance administration of the investment holding companies, review of and valuation and financial reporting for the Assets across Europe.
Main point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders providing regular updated information on transaction requirements including holding structures, funding mechanics and valuations and investor reporting for the European Assets
Continuous fund performance monitoring of the current portfolio
Oversight of portfolio modelling and performance measurement for internal and external reporting
Provide financial and operational supports on all real assets transactions
Review of bespoke financial models for use in underwriting and asset management
Business partnering with the Fund head, as well as other stakeholders both internally and externally
Oversight of all portfolio valuations as well as responsible for portfolio review process in line with business valuation policy
Provide transaction structuring and support to the investment teams over the life cycle of each investment through to divestment
Review accounting and management reports for investment assets.
Provide oversight on the organizing and maintenance of external teams across Europe
Oversee transaction accounts, cash management and liaising with banks on funding requirements across different countries.
Support information needs of management and working on system projects periodically to meet new accounting and business requirements.
Work closely with regional offices to design and implement various finance improvement initiatives and analytics
THE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree
Qualified Accountant – ACA/ACCA/CIMA (Or equivalent)
10 years+ relevant working experience with a background in real estate portfolio finance
Detailed knowledge of pan-European Real Estate investment structures
Strong understanding of Real Estate Fund structures and Transactions
Experience in managing international stakeholders
Experience in Pan-European environment is preferred
Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills, who is keen to learn and pick up new challenges in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Comfortable working under pressure, including ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
