THE SEARCH:
Altus partners are pleased to be partnering with an established private equity investor who are now looking to hire an Investment Associate into their Infrastructure team based in London. Their investment coverage is both pan-European (including UK) and across sectors within the developed infrastructure markets with aim of building out a diverse range of assets in the portfolio. Having had continued success in the sector they now want to look to expand the team.
THE ROLE:
The Investment Associate can expect a diverse exposure across workstreams seeing processes from beginning to end and with the opportunity to work directly with senior team members. The core focus of the role is assisting in the execution of new infrastructure investments, whilst also monitoring the existing portfolio.
Typical elements of the role are as below:
•Analysing new infrastructure investment opportunities
•Executing infrastructure investments from start to finish
•Assisting with monitoring of infrastructure investments including modelling
•Given the lean team structure, a proactive approach to working on investments is required
THE BACKGROUND:
•Candidates will require 1-3 years’ investment banking experience from a leading bulge bracket bank or boutique
•European Languages are additionally of interest
•Required sector experience (Infrastructure, Energy & Utilities, Transportation, Renewable Energy) would be advantageous
•A good understanding of the European Infrastructure market and wider investment landscape
•A positive attitude, the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, as well as executing on critical work-streams
•Strong technicals with the ability to be able to model (proficiency in Excel and the broader Microsoft package are expected)
•A Bachelors and or Masters graduate from a leading University
