Altus Partners is delighted to be partners with a leading debt fund with close to $1bn of AUM, who are looking at hiring an investment manager into their specialist litigation fund. The fund has been established for the last 2 years, specialising on offering diversified exposure to small, short-duration legal claims. The debt fund has 4 different funds, with it’s litigation fund performing the best out of all usually with returns of around 16% per annum.  

THE ROLE:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Business development and origination of new litigation finance transactions

  • Analysing law firms financing needs through in depth analysis of the case and understanding their finance requirements.  

  • Structuring of new deals

  • Working with the CIO and Portfolio Manager to execute and build pipeline

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Litigation funding deal structuring

  • Excellent knowledge of the UK litigation finance and litigation funding market

  • 2 – 8 years of relevant experience in this market

  • Experience in a claims management company is desirable, but not required 

  • Excellent commination skills

  • Law degree / Legal background
