In-line with successful fundraising and growth plans, they are looking to add a further senior investor to the team in Johannesberg to assist with new investments, as well as create value in their portfolio companies. THE ROLE:

Deal Identification.

Lead in the sourcing of investment opportunities, ensuring they remain within the Funds strategy and origination plan;.

Have and continue to build on existing network of intermediaries, entrepreneurs and other funds to enhance origination efforts;.

Working with juniors in the team, manage the research into potential targets for direct approaches;.

Apply experienced judgement when deciding on which deals to progress;.

Provide investment and commercial guidance to the team throughout the deal identification process.Screening/Analysis.

Manage and complete the analysis, modelling and evaluation of proposals, performing sensitivity analysis and benchmarks;.

Lead/oversee in-house industry and company investment research for the European market;.

Lead the initial screening stage of an investment opportunity;.

Take ownership of the production of investment papers and other internal documents;.

Sector monitoring and analysis.Due Diligence.

Lead all parts of the due diligence work streams including both credit analysis and equity valuation analysis for the Partners;.

Liaise and work with external advisors whenever necessary;.

Ensure appropriate due diligence is performed on potential investments;.

Participate and actively contribute in management meetings.Deal Closing.

Lead with external consultants, auditors and lawyers;.

Manage legal documents/agreements and communicate to relevant internal stakeholders;.

Strongly influence on the investment structure and terms and conditions.Portfolio Management.

Act as a board member for investment companies as appropriate;.

Actively assist investee companies with financial and operating issues;.

Work with internal groups to monitor ongoing investments by:.

Managing and owning the regular review of financials;.

Take the initial lead on evaluations of Portfolio Companies;.

Leading the assessment of performance against budget and KPl's.Exit.

Actively monitoring, evaluating and where possible sourcing potential exit opportunities;.

Lead on the due diligence preparation;.

Lead on the preparation of legal documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

You will demonstrate a significant interest in investing and in particular impact investing as well as:

•Significant experience in creating value in Private Equity portfolio companies

•Investment track record and significant deal experience

•Strong operational and financial analysis skills

•Background from a leading investor, tier 1 consultancy or Investment Bank
