Altus Partners has partnered with a leading Real Estate Investment Manager that is looking to bring on a Compliance Manager in London. The role will work with the head of Compliance and senior management in developing and growing the compliance area. This position gives the opportunity to make the area your own and develop the internal processes and controls..

 

THE ROLE:

The business is looking for an individual who needs to be SMCR certified and will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the policies. The preferred candidate will be from a Real Estate / Property background and have an in depth understanding of latest regulations. The role is an opportunity to join a growing business and built out a compliance function with the full support of senior management.

  • Implementing and managing SMCR for EMEA region and maintain all compliance policies

  • Managing EMEA AML, ABC and Sanctions programme, including owning policies and procedures, undertaking due diligence and arrange delivery of training

  • FCA reporting and communication 

  • Manage regulatory upstream risk

  • AIFM board reporting including producing MLRO and annual compliance report and managing risk assessments

  • Undertake annual reviews of compliance policies and managing regulatory references

  • Manage MiFID II policy suite for EMEA

  • Run verification programme on fund launches

  • Support on deal related compliance matters

  • Manage fund marketing compliance process

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • University Degree 

  • SMCR Certified

  • Experience in a compliance function within Alternative Investments

  • UK Regulatory framework knowledge is essential

  • Strong understanding of Alternative Investments, Real Estate would be advantageous

  • Strong understanding and expertise in aspects regulations

  • Capable of meeting deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
