Data Engineering Director required. Altus Partners’ client, a PE backed technology business, is looking for a Data Engineering Director to join their team in London. 

This is an opportunity for a results-orientated Data Engineering Director who is motivated by driving value creation to join a business that is enjoying sustained success as they go from strength to strength and continue to scale.

 

THE ROLE:

  • Ownership of the data engineering roadmap and strategy – defining processes and standards across the function

  • Develop data pipelines that are efficient and scalable

  • Lead and manage a team of highly skilled data engineers

  • Recruit best in class data engineers that are complementary to the existing team

  • Ensure the team are using the most appropriate tools for the platform, and evaluate and embrace – where necessary – new and emerging technologies

  • Adhere to the highest standards of data governance, quality and security

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have experience of working for a private equity backed business

  • Proven experience of managing a high performing data engineering team in a private equity backed environment 

  • Excellent data engineering background and not afraid to get hands dirty where necessary

  • Excellent background with Python and SQL

  • Excellent background with AWS (and related services)

  • Superb communication skills and able to communicate technical subjects to non-technical stakeholders

  • Extensive experience of dealing with c-suite

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
