THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners is working exclusively with a growing Private Markets firm that is looking to bring on a Fund Controller to join a dynamic and successful team. The business is going through an exciting growth phase and this individual will play a vital role in growing and developing the finance function. The role will work directly with all areas of the business and work closely with the CFO in developing the area. Due to the current Covid situation, the business has adapted and has the infrastructure to bring on someone remotely either in the UK or Luxembourg.

THE ROLE:

The right candidate will have experience in a within Investment Management and will have experience in Fund and Corporate accounting They will be joining a forward-looking environment and work with a dynamic team to develop controls and processes as the portfolio grows.

  • Liaising on a regular basis with overseas fund administration providers, external auditors, portfolio level finance teams

  • Maintaining the accounts of the fund and associated entities

  • Assisting with the asset management of current and future portfolio Investments

  • Accounting and other financial analysis tasksFund modelling

  • Portfolio performance monitoring and management and Portfolio valuationsDevelopment and maintenance of financial models

  • Support Acquisition and Legal teams in financial, tax and structuring due diligence

  • Calculation of drawdowns and distributionsInvestor and board reporting

  • Assisting with cash flow and budget management

  • Assisting with financial control and accounts payable tasks

  • Consolidation of accounts across multiple jurisdictions​

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified Accountant, ACA/ ACCA or equivalent

  • Experience in Private Equity/Venture Capital environment

  • Experience and knowledge of: IFRS and UK GAAP financial reporting

  • Financial and management accounting (including audit)

  • Financial and accounting modelling skills in Excel (VBA desirable)

  • Highly numerate, methodical in prioritising work and multi-tasking and able to demonstrate attention to detail
