THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners have partnered with a growing Private Equity firm that is looking to bring on a Head of Finance in their newly created Europe Office to oversee the finance function as the business goes through a period of significant growth. The business is going through an exciting phase as they are expanding globally as well as growing their team globally. This position will hold pivotal responsibilities as it will be working with management.

 

THE ROLE:

The business is looking to bring on a Head of Finance to work directly with Management and lead the finance, operations, and portfolio finance responsibilities across both the funds and the management entity. The role will be the main point of contact through the business for all finance and operations. The business is going through a significant growth phase and this allows the person to take full responsibility for the function. The successful candidate will need to be a strong communicator and have a strong understanding of Private Equity fund structures.

  • Main point of contact for all finance queries for internal and external business partners

  • Oversight of the preparation of financial statements

  • Oversight of Portfolio Valuation

  • Review of the internal finance function and controls

  • Oversight and reviewing of the Portfolio companies' financial figures.

  • Establishment and integrate the internal reporting and controlling system for the Portfolio companies

  • Oversight of the consistency of the Portfolio financials and communicating this internally across the business

  • Main point of contact to Portfolio finance professionals

  • Financing of portfolio companies and review of new and existing financing agreements

  • Point of contact for the investments team for all financial information regarding portfolio companies.

  • Additional support for with ESG reporting and additional investment admin

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified Accountant or Equivalent Experience

  • Experience in private equity or a similar fund structure is essential.

  • 8 - 15 years financial services experience

  • Experience in new fund structuring

  • Experience with portfolio finance

  • Experience of holding internal and external relationships.

  • Fluent in German is essential
