THE ROLE:

As a part of a growing team, you will be responsible for identifying, recommending, and cultivating investment opportunities from evaluation through to financial close. This team is critical to the evolution of the organization and the scale of its impact, which emphasizes the significance of your role. The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

•         Deal origination, structuring, and negotiating new investment opportunities (specific to decarbonisation/ carbon reduction and nature conservation)

•         Forging strong relationships with management teams of investee companies (includes significant opportunity for travel)

•         Direct interface with owners, developers, and proponents of projects in the investment pipeline

•         Oversight of regional portfolio performance and risk mitigation opportunities

•         Developing a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of each of the Company’s investments and applying insight to ensure successful execution of investment priorities

•         Meeting with investee companies and strategic partners, whether in person or virtually, to identify and resolve issues

•         Overall responsibility for ensuring regional portfolio performance

•         Regular internal reporting of progress against investment milestones and strategies and project status across regional portfolio to the Executive Committee

•         Implementation and management of climate change mitigation projects under the VCS and Gold Standard, and other upcoming international and domestic climate schemes

•         Attending relevant gatherings and conferences and expanding the existing regional project partner network.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

•         Minimum 5 years’ experience from a leading Investment Bank (front office) or Management Consulting firm

•         Developed financial modelling and valuation skills

•         Experience of the full deal life cycle

•         Self-starter and accountable, with an appreciation for working both independently and in a team environment

•         Professional interest in purpose-led environmental causes will distinguish you as a candidate

•         MBA highly advantageous.
