Altus Partners are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a leading infrastructure equity investor. Their direct investing team (London) is looking to add an Investment Executive (Senior Associate / VP equivalent) to deploy capital and execute global investments with a strong focus on Core Infrastructure. The firm manages over US$10 bn of equity capital in both private and listed funds on behalf of institutional investors across the globe. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with good execution experience and legal documentation negotiation who has done transport, regulated utilities, roads, battery storage, rolling stock etc.

THE ROLE:
  • Develop and nurture networks and relationships supportive of the implementation of the strategy for the Focus Sectors

  • Originate and lead the structuring and completion of Sector transactions (predominantly investments and acquisitions with exposure to refinancing and disposals) efficiently and in accordance with policies and processes

  • Actively contribute to the business development strategy and its implementation

  • Take the lead in target investment appraisal; including appointing and closely managing due diligence advisers, reviewing and challenging outputs from underlying project financial models and preparing, and presenting investment papers

  • Negotiation of investment-related documentation such as sale and purchase agreements, shareholder agreements and, financing documents

  • Represent the firm and the applicable fund in meetings with vendors, acquisition partners, co-shareholders, financiers and contractors on transactions

  • Monitor investments which include representing the company on Boards of investee companies as required

  • Participate in reporting processes

  • Assist with fundraising and reporting to investors as required

THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Significant prior experience working in the Core Infrastructure sector with a track record of executing transactions (transport, regulated utilities, roads, battery storage, rolling stock)

  • Relevant transactional experience in making investments either as a sponsor, principal or in an investment advisory capacity

  • Demonstrable track record of sourcing, and executing successful transactions

  • Evidence of working as part of an investment team together with portfolio management team in the Sector(s)

  • Driven, focused and motivated with the ability to enable and actualise ideas within a lean, fast-paced and high growth non-hierarchical culture

  • Additional European languages are highly desirable
