THE SEARCH:
Altus Partners have been mandated by a leading global asset manager in its search for an experienced Credit Analyst to cover European and UK Financials. The firm manages approx. $200 billion and has built an impressive reputation as an active investor in Fixed Income, with a well-established and highly-esteemed Global Credit team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop one’s career in credit investment as part of a successful team, with excellent provision of mentorship and scope for progression.
THE ROLE:
The position will report directly to the firm’s Head of Credit Research, and will operate as part of a collaborative, flat-structured team of experienced and extremely well-regarded analysts.
Your role will include, but by no means be limited to, the following:
•Conducting analysis (fundamental and relative value) of European (incl. UK) Investment Grade and BB Credit.
•Sector specialisation in European and UK Financials (Banks, Insurers, Asset Managers, etc) as well as REITs.
•Making investment recommendations, and monitoring existing positions.
•Performing complex financial modelling.
•Meeting with senior-level company management teams.
•Thoroughly analysing industry-specific metrics.
•Commercial review of legal documentation.
•Contributing to weekly investment committee meetings with senior-level professionals, by presenting your investment recommendation notes.
THE BACKGROUND:
•7 or more years’ experience, including a significant proportion spent as either a buy-side or sell-side Credit Analyst.
•Established specialist expertise in covering European and UK Financials credits.
•Advanced aptitude for both fundamental and relative value analysis.
•Strong academic credentials.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•A positive, enthusiastic yet humble disposition, suited to working in a highly collaborative team environment.
