Altus Partners are delighted to be retained by a leading mid-market Private Equity investor to appoint an M&A Director for a newly acquired SaaS asset based in London. The company has a unique proprietary technology and, in line with this new capital injection, is looking to make multiple strategic acquisitions to consolidate their market position. They are now seeking an M&A Director to join the highly successful team and contribute to the buy & build strategy by leading deal activity across the full cycle. This is a great opportunity for an established deal maker with software and Private Equity exposure to join a scaling business at the start of the investment cycle and contribute immensely to their strategic growth.
THE ROLE:
Support the Group Corporate Development Director on all transaction activity, partnering with the wider international M&A team and other senior stakeholders
End-to-end deal oversight including:
Initial building of M&A pipeline
Approach and build dialogue with potential targets
Building investment cases for board sign off
Agreeing the deal and managing it through the due diligence and legal process, before handing over to the integration team upon completion
Focus on domestic acquisition targets with future expansion into the North American market
Developing the investment narrative and presenting the benefits of acquisition to targets
Excel modelling; building a solid case framework around potential deals
Ad hoc corporate development/strategy duties
THE REQUIREMENTS:
Prior M&A/buy-side deal experience is essential
Extensive due diligence and origination experience would be beneficial
Prior SaaS/software KPI/metric experience is highly beneficial
Exposure to Private Equity investment cycles
