THE SEARCH:
Altus Partners have partnered with an investor backed, pan-European, Buy & Build Healthcare Services company to find a M&A Director to support & accelerate their inorganic growth strategy within the Benelux region. Based in the Netherlands, they are looking for a native or fluent Dutch speaker with a background in M&A to play a key role by covering the full transaction cycle as the company continues to scale up, whilst supporting on all commercial and operational aspects of the buy-and-build strategy.
THE ROLE:
The successful applicant will be leading and conducting strategic acquisitions, implementing group inorganic growth strategy and key strategic projects all across the Benelux region.
The role offers an attractive career development track and will allow to gain significant practical M&A and operational experience.
Developing & implementing business plans and group strategy closely with the senior management team.
The successful applicant will assist on transactions end-to-end, from sourcing to closing, allowing them to own full scope of the process.
Working closely with the C-Suite and Head of M&A to find new leads & source new targets across the region to continuously support the company’s dynamic buy-and-build strategy.
The successful candidate will engage in direct contact with the targets, build relationships and support on the pipelining efforts with the stakeholders.
Involvement in operational tasks to ensure the successful integration of the acquisitions, offering hands-on experience and full ownership of the transactions.
This role offer a large degree of autonomy with significant exposure to top management (C-suite, board members, investors…)
THE REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of relevant experience in M&A, from advisory, corporate, banking or private equity.
Experience managing full transactions end-to-end.
Strong modelling and financial / accounting skills
Strategic, analytical and commercial thinker, as well as resourceful problem solver
Excellent communication & presentation skills
Motivated, entrepreneurial and self-driven nature.
Ability to work independently while communicating and developing strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
Due to the nature of this role, a Dutch native speaker or full fluency in Dutch is required.
Location can be flexible in the Netherlands, depending on the profile, but with a preference for minimum 1 to 2 days a week in the office in the Rotterdam area
