Altus Partners have partnered with a leading Private Equity firm that is looking to bring on an Investment Monitoring Manager to work directly with the CFO and COO in growing the portfolio monitoring function. The business is going through significant growth across the UK and Europe. This position will hold pivotal responsibilities as it will be working directly with the investment function and  C-Suite.

 
THE ROLE:

The business is looking to bring on a dynamic Portfolio Monitoring Manager to work directly with Management and develop the portfolio monitoring function across the business. The role will have oversight of the running of valuations of operating businesses and projects on a quarterly basis, have knowledge of basic fund structures and assist in the development and management of fund models and quantitative analysis The role will give first line support to the deal teams and the investment process. The position will be involved in structuring financings, structuring, and negotiating fund guarantees and help support strategic financing decisions. The successful candidate will need to be a strong communicator and have a strong understanding of Private Equity fund structures.

  • Collate, review and prepare portfolio management meeting materials

  • Oversight and preparation of quarterly reports to investors

  • Oversight and preparation of valuation materials for quarterly valuation meetings in co-ordination with deal teams and stakeholders

  • Build up knowledge and ultimately manage Private Equity fund models

  • Ownership of all aspects of fund performance modelling, FX and geographic exposure.

  • Preparation of value creation analysis on a quarterly basis supported by quantitative analysis.

  • Co-ordinating Fund modelling sensitivities with external providers

  • Monitor and ensure accuracy and completeness of investee company information

  • Support C-Suite functions in negotiation and implementation of guarantees,

  • Support and hold relationships with fund services and external management in the firm’s subscription facilities

  • Work closely with and grow relationships with Funds Administration team, Operations team, and Fund Services. 

  • Main point of contact to all business areas on the development and growth of the performance metrics.

  • Review and develop performance monitoring processes across the business as well as customer base

  • Feedback on all business development opportunities

  • Develop and oversight of business policies and procedures as needed

  • Attend management meetings and take responsibility for the performance function

  • Manage all projects to meet deadlines

  • Contribute to the delivery of the business strategy

  • Support the company‘ approach to sustainability and drive change

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Qualified Accountant with a background in Valuations

  • Strong knowledge of the Private Equity sector, both technical and commercial drivers of value

  • Knowledge of fund structuring and fund modelling

  • Advanced financial modelling

  • Experience working closely with management teams and in small teams to deliver improvements in reporting and operational matters

  • Advanced valuation methodologies, fund modelling, as well as strong attention to detail

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
