Altus Partners are delighted to be working with a leading global investment manager with over $150 billion in assets under management, with more than 1,000 employees in 20 offices globally, who focus on providing products such as distressed debt, corporate debt (high yield debt and senior loans). The firm are looking for an Associate to join their shipping team to focus on execution and portfolio management of transactions.
THE ROLE:
Detailed credit analysis on the shipping sector
Detailed financial modelling, analysis, forecasts and valuations;
Generate investment recommendations to the portfolio managers;
Maintain and update written research for existing investments.
Produce industry reviews;
Monitor the performance of the existing portfolio
THE REQUIREMENTS:
4-6 years’ experience in gained in a corporate/investment bank/private debt house/asset finance firm covering shipping/offshore/transportation
Experience in conducting fixed income credit research
Outstanding financial modelling and analytical skills
Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance
Understanding of Maritime Loan markets and performance drivers
