THE SEARCH:
Are you passionate about life science investing, with a scientific or medical background and a Ph.D. or M.D.. We are working with one of the leading life science venture capital funds looking to grow its investment team in London. The fund has a global team and you’ll assist with identifying early stage, start-up companies investing from £1,000,000 to £50,000,000. The fund has recently completed an incredibly successful fund raise and you’ll join a very impressive team.
THE ROLE:
Work with the venture partners to review new investment opportunities or scientific ideas
Monitor the biotech ecosystem, evaluating the industry landscape, identifying and reviewing emerging technologies, disease areas or scientific proposals
Conduct due diligence and shape business plans for potential investments and new companies being created
Valuation of investments
Support portfolio companies, assisting with performance and helping to build the company
THE REQUIREMENTS:
Scientific or medical training (Ph.D. or M.D.) with a record of scientific achievements
Keen interest in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sectors
Previous work experience in Venture Capital, Consultancy, Investment Banking, Equity Research or Biotechnology start-up
Experience in conducting research, due diligence and financially evaluating investment opportunities
