Altus Partners have partnered with a leading Alternatives Investment Management firm that is looking to bring on a Portfolio Monitoring Associate to work directly with the Managing Director in growing the Real Assets portfolio monitoring function. The business is going through significant growth across the UK and Europe. This position will hold pivotal responsibilities as it will be working directly with the investment function and  C-Suite.

 

THE ROLE:

The primary purpose of the role is to manage all aspects of portfolio monitoring, client servicing, investor relationships and modelling and valuations oversight for the Real Estate funds. These funds include a wide range of portfolio companies across the UK, Europe, APAC and Latin America. Over time this role will focus on the business focussing on additional alternative investments including Debt, Energy and Infrastructure as the business continues to invest and grow a newly developed alternative investments platform.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the delivery of insightful market, fund and portfolio company data and analysis to existing investors,

  • Participating in regular fund updates deals teams and investors.

  • Co-ordinate timely responses to all investor queries working closely with additional fund services providers

  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality investor reporting for annual meetings for Real Estate funds

  • Working with the Senior Management to prepare for ongoing limited partner advisory committee meetings

  • Co-ordinate and oversight of the updates of fund and portfolio requirements to ensure information is timely, accurate and meets deadlines.

  • Working with the Head of Fund Finance and Investment Operations for Private Real Estate across the business to ensure timely reporting and consistency in valuations of the portfolio assets

  • Project management across various workstreams co-investment transactions, co-ordination of investor requirements, developing best practice, and being involved in the system transformation project 

THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Qualified Accountant with a background in Valuations or Audit

  • Strong knowledge of the Real Estate and sector, both technical and commercial drivers of value

  • Knowledge of Real Estate fund valuations and  

  • Advanced financial modelling

  • Experience working closely with management teams and in small teams to deliver improvements in reporting and operational matters

  • Advanced valuation methodologies, fund modelling, as well as strong attention to detail

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
