THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners has partnered with a growing Debt fund that is looking to bring on a COO to grow and develop the business. The business is going through an exciting growth phase and the COO will be a vital decision maker in the development of the business. The role will focus on working with the CEO and CFO in developing the strategy and operating model of the business.

 

THE ROLE:

The COO would be responsible for leading from an operational perspective, which would encompass the day-to-day management of the business including managing operations, IR and structuring. The focus of this role would be to grow and lead a collaborative team with strong, efficient processes and guiding the leadership team on relevant operational change. The candidate must have experience in either illiquid or liquid debt.

  • Oversight of the management of the day-to-day operations of the business:

    • Compliance:

    • Risk:

    • Investor Relations

    • Middle Office Operations

    • IT

    • Oversight of outsourced relationships to ensure service quality is monitored to our satisfaction

    • Change management – project participation and implementation

  • Set and deliver on comprehensive goals for business performance and growth

  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures

  • Evaluating and analysing the business performance

  • Oversight of all internal and external relationships with advisors

  • Leading the structuring process of establishing new funds and special purpose vehicles across the EU

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proven track record as Chief Operating Officer or Operations Director or similar relevant role in an Investment Manager

  • Clear understanding of business functions such as Operations, Finance andTechnology

  • Working knowledge of data analysis and business performance and operations metrics

  • Technical understanding of both public and private fund structures

  • Demonstrable competence in innovation, strategic planning and business development

  • Technical understand of European Regulations

  • Strategic and analytical decision-maker

  • Entrepreneurial mindset

  • Focus on organisation, team dynamics and productivity
