THE SEARCH:
Altus Partners has partnered with a leading asset manager that is looking to bring on a dynamic Corporate Actions specialist to add to their reputable growing European Team. This role will contribute to meeting the increasing demand and complexity of corporate action activity outside the head office and to improve the team’s coverage across all jurisdictions. The role is the first hire in Europe and will give the opportunity for an individual to grow and develop the European function.
THE ROLE:
The position will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all corporate actions events, bank debt amendments, restructures, and proxies are processed timely and accurately. In addition, this person will work with and oversee all service providers. This role requires processing complex corporate actions which requires close interaction with investment teams and other senior stakeholders.
Coordinating and processing bank debt, restructures, Proxies events, private offers with global offices and stakeholders
Experience working with syndicated loans and associated corporate actions
Responding and resolving escalated issues by working with custodians and internal and external stakeholder
Processing corporate actions events through the third party system
Understanding of ISO/SWIFT standards
Experience with all corporate action types including restructures, proxy voting, and knowledge of associated accounting treatments
Processing bank debt amendments
Process complex corporate actions into the accounting system
Ensure all corporate actions are loaded to the accounting system on a timely and accurate basis
Facilitating discussions with Front Office, accountants, reconciliation, and other internal teams to address corporate actions issues
Performing various other tasks and projects as necessary.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products
Experience with XSPrisa and LendAmend will be beneficial
7 years in a corporate actions environment corporate actions experience
Flexible and team-oriented with strong integrity and professionalism
Knowledge of Asian Markets will be beneficial
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Experience working with Geneva and Black Mountain Everest preferred
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Strong initiative and a self-starter with a proven ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
