Altus Partners are delighted to be partnered with a Private Equity backed Industrials business based in London. They are an industry pioneer with a specific focus on the renewables vertical and own a unique product suite that is revolutionising the sector. Their mission-led approach and disruptive technology have seen the organisation grow exponentially. In line with recent funding, they are currently seeking a Corporate Development Director to help them establish strategic partnerships, achieve organisational and operational excellence, along with leading on strategic decision making. This is a broad role and will play a vital part in delivering the next phase of growth, organically and through targeted acquisitions. This position will suit an established Corporate Development/M&A leader within the industrials or renewables space, or a Private Equity operator looking to move in-house.

THE ROLE: 
  • Working closely with the executive team to develop the corporate development function, along with commercial planning

  • Driving strategic initiatives and partnerships including all future go-to-market planning

  • Develop a long-term business plan that aids the company in achieving its key strategic milestones

  • Business case modelling and wider ad-hoc modelling including scenario and market analysis

  • End-to-end transaction oversight including:

  • Initial building of M&A pipeline

  • Approach and build dialogue with potential targets

  • Building investment cases for board sign off

  • Agreeing the deal and managing it through the due diligence and legal process

  • Playing a key part in all future fundraising/transaction activity

THE REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Prior Corporate Development/M&A leadership experience

  • Prior industrials/renewables experience is highly beneficial

  • Clear exposure to evaluating and delivering strategic partnerships

  • Global leadership experience would be a benefit

  • A self-starter who can work autonomously

  • Strong analytical ability
