THE SEARCH:
Altus Partners are working exclusively with a private equity backed Consumer Goods business, headquartered in North Yorkshire. Having recently received investment from a leading mid market Private Equity firm, our client are looking to implement a buy-and-build strategy as they increase their coverage. They are seeking for a Corporate Development Director to execute on the M&A transactions, and support with defining & implementing the long term strategic plan of the business.
THE ROLE:
Involvement in developing & leading the group growth strategy together with the senior management team
Develop and implement the group’s M&A strategy
Review, analyse and assess acquisition opportunities, including producing and reviewing financial models and acquisition rationale
Identify, analyse, and manage strategic partnerships and alliances, with other, third-party companies
Ensure pre-acquisition integration (and separation) planning is thorough and effective
Drive the overall corporate development deal pipeline, including outreach to and sourcing of new opportunities, JV’s etc.
Establish and maintain key relationships with existing and potential investors
Work closely with C-Suite on key commercial projects and PE activity
THE REQUIREMENTS:
6+ years’ experience working in a leading investment bank, M&A function or itop-tier consultancy
Strong modelling and financial / accounting skills, proficient in power point
Strategic, analytical and commercial thinker, as well as resourceful problem solver
Motivated and self-driven with ability to multitask across projects
Ability to work independently while communicating and developing strong working relationship with the teams
Previous experience of working for a Private Equity company or within Corporate Development is desired, but not essential
This role requires in-person office presence at their HQ in North Yorkshire
