THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners has been exclusively mandated by one of the U.K.’s eminent investors as they seek to strengthen their environmental stewardship. This critical hire will support the efforts of Sustainability practice, with a primary focus on internal performance followed by portfolio company engagement where ESG matters are concerned. You will have the opportunity to deliver across climate and social subjects, as well as ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

 

THE ROLE:

Professionals practiced in ESG/ Sustainability within Financial Services, with an interest in supporting internal performance will be strong considerations for this role. To successfully undertake this role you will leverage your Sustainability subject matter knowledge and associated regulations. Based on your collaboration with the investors you will resultantly sharpen your acumen of Sustainability in Private Markets.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the development of the Sustainability framework and its implementation for the fund.

  • Integrating ESG strategies for the firm and ensuring best practices are adhered to.

  • Technical evaluation of environmental (climate) risk of investments, through risk modelling.

  • Qualitative and quantitative monitoring of internal environmental performance and reporting thereof.

  • Comprehensive reporting across TCFD/ TNFD and CSRD.

 

THE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 4 – 5 years client facing experience in a Sustainability/ ESG focused role; ideally delivering to Financial Services clients.

  • Experience in climate risk analysis and modelling, when determining the relationship between environmental risk and companies’ investment profile and overall performance.

  • Understanding of governance requirements associated with Sustainable and Investing.

  • Demonstrated experience generating CSRD, TNFD, and/ or TCFD reports.

  • Competent stakeholder engagement, with the ability to positively influence based on your ESG domain knowledge and practice.
