Altus Partners are currently partnered with a market leading, large-cap private equity backed Healthcare & Life Sciences business headquartered in Berlin. The business is experiencing a period of aggressive international expansion, with plans for numerous high profile acquisitions over the next 18 months. They are now seeking a Finance Director DACH, to take ownership of this key region (€120m+ revenue), providing key support to the Founder and Country Manager on crucial commercial projects, and engaging in regular interaction with the private equity owners.

THE ROLE:
  • Business partner extensively with the Country Manager DACH

  • Responsible for preparing key presentation and analysis materials alongside the Country Manager DACH

  • Lead on budgeting and forecasting activity for the region

  • Responsible for cashflow planning for DACH

  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, implementation of automation initiatives, and identifying new systems

  • Track cost savings and optimisation initiatives for business operations for the DACH region

  • Develop key financial and non-financial KPIs, measurable on an operational level by the group

  • Lead the analytical review and insights into impacts of new regulatory developments and competitor analysis across DACH

  • Preparation of management reports, supporting the achievement of corporate goals

  • Variance analysis and business impact reporting

  • Communicate with the investor relations team, presenting key KPI, forecast, and analysis reports

  • Work with the wider Finance team, assisting the CFO on various ad-hoc projects, e.g. process design (CRM) and ERP implementation

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5+ years’ experience in relevant positions

  • University degree in Business, Economics or Accountancy preferred

  • German native speaker and fluent English language skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Confident communicating with C-Level stakeholders
