​THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners are excited to be working with a high-growth Private Equity backed media and analytics business, based in Central London. Following their recent PE investment from a leading mid-market fund, they are seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to add to their talented team. This person will play a key role alongside the CFO in helping facilitate the company’s growth as they progress toward an exit event. The successful individual will be proactive, driven and self-motivated. This is a rare opportunity to get involved in a fast-paced, Private Equity backed environment, with a clear line for career growth and progression.

 

THE ROLE:

  • Lead and manage the general accounting function including the finance team

  • Prepare and review Financial Statements including consolidation of management accounts

  • Lead both the US and UK audit and tax filings

  • Provide financial analysis and decision-making support for key business activities and Board meetings

  • Assist with budget analysis for long-term and short-term forecasts of cashflow

  • Help the CFO prepare the business for an exit event, working alongside external investors and stakeholders

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA

  • 5-10 years of experience

  • Hands-on experience working within an SME with high levels of organisation

  • Experience with cloud-based accounting systems e.g. Xero, Quickbooks, SalesForce

  • High level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong IT skills, advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Excellent communication across all levels within a business

  • Willing to be a team player, efficient and agile

  • Private Equity experienced is preferred
