Altus Partners are currently partnered with a rapidly growing, Private Equity-backed logistics business, headquartered in Kent. Our client services blue-chip organisations across the globe with a wide range of innovative, tech-enabled transport solutions. Following their recent acquisition by a leading Private Equity fund, the group has subsequently brought in a new, experienced CFO, and are now looking for a Group Finance Director to be their right-hand person, and lead the shared services centre. This will suit an ambitious individual, who is comfortable managing a large team, ideally with experience from another PE-backed organisation.


THE ROLE:

  • Streamline the monthly Management Accounts process

  • Support the Group CFO with the businesses various stakeholders (Board, Private Equity, Leadership Team)

  • Execution of financial reporting across the group (including reporting in IFRS, and local GAAP)

  • Oversee & manage the Audit relationships along with other relevant advisers e.g. taxation

  • Centralise transactional Finance function (AP/AR)

  • Progress a robust financial control framework & ensure strong financial governance

  • Lead on accounting policies and local accounting compliance

  • Drive cash management/treasury, transfer pricing and working capital aspects

  • Trade working capital analysis, oversight and improvement

  • Support internal reporting on KPI performance

  • Improve and upgrade financial systems as required

  • Lead, manage, develop & progress the Finance & Accounting Team (c.20)

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a minimum of 5 years post-qualified experience, ideally gained within a Private Equity-backed environment

  • Experience with the design, implementation and maintenance of accounting and financial management processes

  • Experience working in a shared services centre preferred

  • Track record of working in a global, investor backed organisation
