Altus Partners is delighted to be partnered with a Private Equity backed Life Sciences organisation based in London. The company is a market-leader in their field with a broad product suite and international client base. They have recently made a number of key strategic acquisitions and are now looking to bolster the finance function as they gear towards a transaction. They are seeking a Group Financial Controller (number 2 in finance) to support the CFO to improve the financial insight, internal frameworks, and reporting processes. This role will play a vital part in building a best-in-class function with robust controls that stand up to growth. This role will suit someone with strong technical reporting capabilities, ideally in a PLC environment, from a Life Science or Bio-tech background.
THE ROLE:
Day-to-day oversight and management of the finance team, with responsibility for international teams
Ensuring robust financial controls and frameworks are in place that can stand up to growth
Lead on statutory and group reporting including all consolidation activity
Oversight and ownership of the group audit process
Presenting insightful MI, analysis and financial information to the CFO and investors
Full ownership of the close process for the group ensuring the month is closed in a timely manner.
Implementation and continuous improvement of the management accounts pack to support the business growth and complexity.
Working with our accountants for submission of year end corporation tax returns
Reviewing and ensuring the financial accounting for the group ensuring the correct treatment of items regarding revenue, intercompany and share options.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
AIM or wider PLC experience
Strong reporting exposure (IFRS)
Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
Ideally from an audit/practice background
Experience in working within Life Sciences or Pharmaceuticals
