​THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners are delighted to be partnering with a Private Equity House to find a Head of M&A for one of their portfolio companies based in Amsterdam. They require a Native Dutch Speaker with 8-10 years minimum experience within Corporate Development directly within a PE backed asset or alternatively directly within a PE fund.

THE ROLE: 

  • Based in the Netherlands the Head of M&A will work with the Group’s senior management team (CEO, CFO, COO)

  • The Head of M&A will be involved in conducting strategic acquisitions into new and existing markets, developing and implementing group strategy and key strategic projects

  • Involvement in developing the group growth strategy together with the senior management team

  • Involvement in defining and overseeing cross border operational strategic projects (e.g. best practices transfer in procurement, operational excellence)

  • This role offers a large degree of autonomy with significant exposure to top management (group management and country level management teams).

 
THE REQUIREMENTS

  • +8years of experience in M&A at a top tier investment bank, Consultancy or Big Four.

  • Strong modelling and financial / accounting skills, proficient in power point  

  • Strategic, analytical and commercial thinker, as well as resourceful problem solver

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work closely with the senior management teams as well as interact with entrepreneurs, advisors and small business owners

  • Motivated and self driven with ability to multitask across projects

  • Ability to work independently while communicating and developing strong working relationship with the country teams

  • International work exposure a definite plus
