THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners are delighted to be partnering with a Private Equity House to find a Group Head of Procurement for one of their portfolio companies based in Amsterdam. They require a Native Dutch Speaker with a track record in Procurement/Project Management. They will entertain candidates directly from Consultancy or alternatively individuals with Procurement experience within a high growth corporate.

THE ROLE:

  • Roll-out of (digital) procurement strategy to develop and transform the procurement function, processes and policies

  • Implement and manage procurement related improvement projects across the group

  • Execute and implement strategic sourcing initiatives cross-country delivering bottom-line savings and other business value

  • Identify (saving) opportunities through data analysis

  • Maintain key group of large supplier relationships and monitor (contract) performance

 

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 – 8 years of relevant working experience in the field of project management and procurement

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work closely with the senior management team as well as with entrepreneurs and small business owners

  • Motivated and self-driven with ability to multitask across projects

  • Negotiation skills: ability to influence and persuade other parties whilst maintaining the relationship to achieve win-win situations

  • Data analysis: Ability to process and interpret data

  • Problem solving: Capable of logical structured problem solving (root-cause analysis) with execution and implementation power

  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with different levels and cultures in the organization and comfortable with speaking and writing in English

  • Collaboration: capable of constructively working with colleagues to achieve objectives, flexible and adaptable with positive energy

  • Pragmatic: problem solver with a can-do attitude, not afraid to take on a challenge

  • Leadership: strong interpersonal leadership, presentation skills, convincing people with the right attitude in an international environment
