THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners has partnered with a leading Private Equity and Infrastructure Investment Manager that is looking to bring on an Investment Analyst to join their rapidly growing investment function. The business is going through an exciting growth phase and this individual will play a vital role in working with the CIO across the global deals that the business is involved in.

 

THE ROLE:

The Investment Analyst will work with senior management to assist the Investment Committee on the investment analysis process and decision-making processes. The role will include sector research, monitoring of investment pipeline, review of investment proposals, review of due diligence materials, review of performance of the investment portfolio and observing investment committee meetings. This will include but by no means be limited to the following:

  • Evaluating new investment proposals or potential target businesses, including conducting financial analysis, valuation exercises, financial modelling.

  • Responsibility for oversight the deal processes including working on commercial, financial, tax and legal due diligence, typically alongside advisors.

  • Oversight research into specific sectors and countries that fit within the private equity and infrastructure investment mandate to develop sub-sector strategies.

  • Supporting the pre-deal management with the Investment Committee

  • Working with the CIO on global deal process

  • Review of valuation and presentation materials for investment committees

  • Reporting for investment funds

  • Post-acquisition investment monitoring

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience gained in fund of funds or private equity covering infrastructure.

  • University degree or equivalent from a leading university

  • At least 2-3 years relevant business experience within investment consulting, or private equity.

  • Good business communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to analyse a company’s financial statements and to make commercial assessments based on this analysis.

  • Excellent excel modelling skills.

  • Experience in valuation techniques

  • Ability to build relationships within and across teams and externally
