Altus Partners have partnered with a multi-billion (Euro) Venture Debt Fund, currently in their fastest growth phase yet. For the last 22 years this fund has tailored their approach to high growth equity-backed businesses across Europe and Israel, deploying funds from €1m - €100m, and having proudly invested more than €400 million in over 20 different countries. With a Finance background, you will benefit from developing your commercial acumen in venture debt, through the long-standing success of the firm and their multitude of amassed expertise.

THE ROLE:

As a growth debt fund manager, with an extensive portfolio network, the fund is looking to complement their team with a professional who is keen to support the development of Life Sciences (Healthcare) and Technology ventures along with other sectors too, in the Pan-European market and other sought after start-up markets. It is an excellent platform to learn about key investing principles whilst expanding your knowledge on some of the global economy’s most competitive industries. You will directly support the entire investment lifecycle where your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Research and analysis (Financial and commercial).

  • Completing due diligence (financial and business).

  • Portfolio monitoring, which extends to review, analysis, and reporting on respective portfolio companies.

  • Producing quarterly investor reports and asset valuation, alongside the Finance team.

  • Stakeholder engagement, which includes interviews and supporting formal communication exchanges.

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2 years of relevant experience gained in either Investment Banking (M&A/ Leverage Finance) or Venture Capital/ Private Equity or Debt Consulting or Advisory.

  • Financial acumen gained through financial statement analysis (PnL, cash flow statements, and balance sheet).

  • Proven ability in the compilation and delivery of business presentations, to external stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of Lending or Private Debt is highly advantageous.

  • Team-oriented with a personal and professional interest in high-growth companies.

  • Exposure to technology and life sciences/ healthcare is desired but not essential.
