Altus Partners are delighted to be working with a long standing client, who are a London-based private equity investor, founded in 2002, with a unique franchise and reputation in its space. The core strategy involves identifying small-cap companies that exhibit addressable investment opportunity, and where a change of direction combined with commitment of long-term capital could unlock significant value.
THE ROLE:
The fund are looking for an investment associate to join the team to conduct research and suggest investment recommendations on publicly listed companies, to be taken private and operationally improved. They aim to earn the respect of fellow share-holders and approach turnarounds through constructive engagement. This is enabled not only by running a highly concentrated portfolio that allows them commit significant time and resource to each individual holding, but also through their own dedicated Value Creation division, comprising industry experts and specialists in strategy, finance and law.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
The primary objective of the Investment Associate will be the financial and strategic analysis across the target identification and investment processes.
2-4 years of experience from consulting, Equity Research or M&A background (whether that is from a bank, fund manager, leading consultancy or a mixture of these backgrounds).
High levels of intellectual curiosity and have a passion for publicly listed companies and making conducting investment research and analysis. It is a bonus if the candidate has Nordic language skills, however this is not a prerequisite.
