Altus Partners has an exclusive partnership with a leading direct lender that aims to enhance its investment team through hiring a Vice President (VP), specialising in various private debt products. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between the investment team and the business partners. Your primary responsibility will involve representing the firm's private credit offerings to clients throughout the UK and Europe.

 

THE ROLE:

  • Facilitate investment sourcing by creating origination materials and presenting them to potential borrowers and advisors. Build and expand an origination network. This role involves travel within the UK, including overnight stays, to meet with management of existing portfolio companies and new prospects.

  • Independently lead the entire credit due diligence process and proactively suggest key areas of focus for due diligence in collaboration with preferred accounting and legal advisors.

  • Develop accurate financing models based on leverage finance principles, offer insights on potential financing structures, and prepare investment committee submissions.

  • Present transactions to fund boards, investment committees, and investors.

  • Contribute to the preparation and negotiation of credit and equity documentation with guidance and supervision from senior team members.

  • Take responsibility for monitoring and reporting on the investment portfolio.

 

THE SEARCH:

  • Possess 6-8 years of experience in private credit or leverage finance.

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of financial analysis and a proven track record of executing and leading multiple transactions.

  • Have a strong academic background and proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • Display self-motivation, proactiveness, and adaptability; we seek an independent and curious thinker who can work with minimal guidance.

  • Exhibit clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing.

  • Take ownership of work completion, adhering to established processes and delivering the highest standards of quality and timeliness.
