​THE SEARCH: 

Lead Data Scientist required. Altus Partners’ client, a PE backed German healthcare asset, is looking for a Lead Data Scientist to join their team (fully remote possible). 

The Lead Data Scientist must be fluent in German and English and have experience of working for a private equity backed business – ideally with experience in healthcare or ecommerce. 

 

THE ROLE:

  • Use machine learning to extract and interpret insights from large and complex datasets

  • Use advanced analytical techniques to build predictive models

  • Design and implement the deployment of advanced algorithms and predictive models

  • Articulate insights in a way that drives strategic decision-making

  • Manage 2 members of the team

  • Collaborate closely with sales and marketing and present insights to them

  • Collaborating with finance and present data for planning and budgeting 

  • Communicate and present data findings to C-suite and board level

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with a private equity portfolio business

  • c.5-7 years experience as a data scientist

  • Excellent experience with Python

  • Strong experience with advanced statistical modelling, machine learning and LLMs

  • Ideally experience in healthcare or ecommerce

  • Experience of management while being in a hands on role

  • Being able to demonstrate an ability to work cross functionally

  • A high degree of commercial awareness

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at board level

  • Fluent in German and English
