Our client, an eminent Investment Manager is growing their ESG practice and has appointed us to support this development. As a multi-billion asset manager they deliver investment solutions across capital structures, through dedicated asset classes. The team of ESG professionals are central to the Investment practice and remain critical to the nature and degree of impactful investing. The team requires the expertise of a professional who has a hybrid suite of skills from ESG strategy and ESG integration into Private Market investing. This proficiency relates to the lead position you will assume in navigating how ESG frameworks are further defined, integrated, and managed over time.

THE ROLE:

With the firm’s focus on the unlisted market, your ESG experience in Private Markets will hold you in good stead for this position. Through your dedicated ESG focus and effective mitigation of environmental, social and governance risk(s) you will help create value for clients and resultantly create more sustainable opportunities. As a central support to the Investment office, your role will include the following:

  • Partnering with the investment team, portfolio companies, and the broader business to establish ESG frameworks/ strategy for respective products

  • Implementing ESG framework across all fund strategies

  • Ongoing management of ESG strategy which includes measurement of ESG targets and ESG reporting

  • Managing data collection and analysis, in support of the annual ESG survey process

  • Supporting external and investor ESG reporting, both at a fund and corporate level

  • Ensuring compliance with respective ESG regulations

  • Ongoing improvement of ESG metrics and contribution towards new ESG initiatives

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 5 years in a role exclusively focused on ESG in Private Markets (either in Private Equity or Asset Management). Experience in a ESG Consulting will be considered, however, only where a commendable understanding of Private market investing has been simultaneously amassed

  • Experience implementing ESG frameworks across Private markets fund strategies

  • Strong acumen across investing, responsible investing, and investment monitoring

  • Influential communicator with team orientation

  • Sincere commitment towards sustainable investing and effecting positive change
