Altus Partners are delighted to be partnered with a leading European Private Equity house to appoint a Group CFO for one of their assets based in Germany. The CFO will be a conduit between the board and investors, providing overall thought leadership to the business and partnering the CEO to drive the value proposition. The company is looking to execute an aggressive buy & build, with a number of strategic targets in the pipeline that will consolidate their domestic position and offer expansion into new markets. This will suit an established, German-speaking CFO with proven Private Equity exposure within a Financial Services focussed PE backed business.

 

THE ROLE:

  • Contribute to developing the strategic agenda and financial planning of the business and its execution

  • Leading the finance function and oversight of all operational finance activity, along with M&A/corporate development activity

  • Prepare and present the board pack materials to internal and external stakeholders including investors

  • Playing a crucial role in all future M&A activity, helping to scope investment and transaction strategy, and leading on delivery and integration

  • Managing and developing a finance team, acting as a visible face of the business both internally and to external parties

  • Ensuring that robust frameworks and systems are in place to accommodate continued rapid growth 

  • Develop the investor narrative and brand image 

  • Present regular insightful management information, including market analysis, budgets, forecasting and necessary commentary 

  • Establish and ensure the adherence to financial processes that meet the statutory requirements of the organisation 

  • Managing and developing relationships with investors and key stakeholders across the business 

  • Model financial climate scenarios and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans 

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior Financial Sevices experience and understanding of associated domestic legislation

  • Private Equity exposure is highly beneficial, particularly in a buy & build context

  • Fluent German language ability

  • Experience in running large teams across multiple verticals will be beneficial
