Altus Partners are working exclusively with a rapidly growing, private equity backed global healthcare business, headquartered in Central London. Having recently received investment from a leading upper-mid market Private Equity fund, our client are looking to implement an aggressive buy-and-build strategy as they increase their coverage in the US market. They are seeking an experienced Corporate Development Director, who can drive the group’s M&A strategy, fuel their exponential growth and work closely with the CFO as they drive towards an exit within 3 years.
THE ROLE:
Develop and implement the group’s M&A strategy
Build a best in class Corporate Development/M&A team
Review, analyse and assess acquisition opportunities, including producing and reviewing financial models and acquisition rationale
Manage transaction processes (internally and externally) through due diligence to close
Ensure pre-acquisition integration (and separation) planning is thorough and effective
Drive the overall corporate development deal pipeline, including outreach to and sourcing of new opportunities, JV’s and strategic partnerships
Establish and maintain key relationships with existing and potential investors
Work closely with the CFO and CEO on key commercial projects
THE REQUIREMENTS:
8+ years of relevant work experience in healthcare, health-tech or pharmaceuticals preferred
Extensive senior leadership experience within a private equity environment
Experience working in a leading investment bank or top-tier consultancy beneficial
Flexible in a continuously changing, growing environment
Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative
