​​Altus Partners has been engaged with a pan-European real estate investment management firm for a Finance Manager to support the CFO and Senior Leadership Team in an all-encompassing opportunity. The individual will be supported by a highly motivated and aligned team of skilled professionals focused on acquisitions, asset management, finance and sustainable development.

Driven by strong growth in its investment activities and assets under management, the opportunity has arisen to strengthen the fund managers operations, risk management and, compliance functions.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with real estate experience who wants to get exposure across investment management. As most of the accounting itself is outsourced, this will focus more on high-level review work and come with lots of commercial and senior stakeholder duties. For the right individual, this is a unique and exciting opportunity to become part of a highly talented and fully aligned team as you directly support the Finance Director and CFO.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and review of financial reporting, including: tax reporting, quarterly reporting packs, annual accounts, and investor reporting

  • Assistance with the preparation of the annual budgets together with the asset management team

  • Calculation of quarterly distributions and ad hoc cash repatriations

  • Calculation of asset management and development fees

  • Assistance with the preparation of quarterly bank reporting (compliance certificates, debt covenants)

  • Preparing and/or reviewing variance analysis on quarterly actual results versus budget

  • Collaboration and oversight of external service providers (accounting and administration)

  • Assistance with tax structuring and compliance

  • Oversight of accounting regulations in different jurisdictions

  • Assistance with acquisitions and other transactions like financing, restructurings, capex projects

  • Work directly with Senior Management to enhance controls and review processes

  • Collaborate with and support the Acquisitions, Asset Management, Investor Relations and ESG functions

  • Contributing to internal initiatives, processes & committees, e.g. social events

 

Requirements:

  • 4 + years of experience in Private Equity or Real Estate funds.

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/Chartered Accountant)

  • Prior work experience in investment banking, consulting, real estate, or private equity

  • Strong desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
