THE SEARCH:

​Altus Partners is currently supporting a very high growth private equity backed technology platform, in their search for a senior FP&A consultant to lead on financial planning and commercial analysis in one of their largest and fastest growing divisions.  The company has been on a journey of exceptional year on year growth, with this division expanding by over 25% every year in recent times.  As a result of this growth the divisional CFO is now looking to expand the FP&A capability, initially on a contract basis although the position could easily become a permanent Head of FP&A role at the end of the contract.  The company has offices in Birmingham and London, they are happy for the role to be based from either location and will also accommodate remote working.

 

THE ROLE:
  • Leadership of all commercial financial activities across the division, including financial planning, commercial analysis and investment appraisals.

  • Develop a multi-year plan financial model, that reflects the strategic priorities of the business and is understood by both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

  • Lead the budget/reforecasts (and long-term strategic plans) processes and monitor progress closely, proposing early remedial action where necessary

  • Provide analysis and reports to support and evaluate initiatives & projects

  • Support key senior stakeholders with reports, information and analysis

  • Provide challenge and influence on key decisions, including pricing, new products / partnerships, capex projects and staff remuneration changes, ensuring that proposed activities will drive profitable growth

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Significant experience of leading budgets and multi-range planning cycles across a full P&L and multiple product lines

  • Experience of senior stakeholder engagement, producing high quality reports with concise insights and recommendations

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) with significant experience in a high growth business

  • Proven business partner with the ability to guide and counsel on a wide variety of strategic initiatives and priorities

  • Excellent relationship building and problem-solving skills
