​THE SEARCH:

Altus Partners is representing the Real Estate business practice of a multi-billion (USD) investment firm. In line with industry emphasis on SDGs this newly created role encompasses the development and implementation of the sustainability agenda across their long income Real Estate funds. As a critical business partner, you will collaboratively create the ESG objectives and develop the framework in support of the strategic goals of the respective funds. You will assume a fundamental role in ensuring that sustainability matters relating to Real Estate are addressed, measured, and improved accordingly.

 

THE ROLE:
As a business lead you will direct the strategic performance of the Real Estate funds which carry investment strategies related to both private markets and social impact. This will be achieved through setting the respective ESG strategies and managing associated risks. Your main responsibilities, will include:
  • Creating the Real Estate sustainability programme and policies, and execution thereof

  • Developing and implementing carbon neutral strategies, where respective measurements can be applied to the Real Estate funds

  • Organizing and managing GRESB submissions

  • Ownership of ESG reporting for investors and stakeholders, which comprehensively addresses the sustainability status of the listed and unlisted funds

  • Directing the alignment of sustainability objectives and policies to investment decisions

 

THE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong understanding of sustainability concerns across commercial and residential properties with practical experience in addressing such, from a strategic perspective

  • Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering a sustainability programme for a Real Estate fund (either directly in a Real Estate practice or as a Consultant)

  • Professional commitment to driving impactful results through a robust sustainability agenda, which you will champion

  • Advanced reporting acumen, which accounts for the social and environmental influence of projects

  • Experience with either one or more of the following - EPRA, TCFD and GRESB

  • Good command of regulatory principles concerning energy performance of buildings

  • Team oriented with the ability to manage large-scale projects
