THE SEARCH:
Altus Partners are delighted to be partnering with a leading pan-European mid-market fund who invest across the capital structure and who are now looking for an Investment Associate to sit within the investment team based in London. They have an impressive reputation in the market working across sectors with an experienced senior management team and a proven deal track record. They have a deep-rooted operational approach and are focussed on supporting management teams, adding value and building strong and international relationships.
THE ROLE:
•Analysing investment opportunities in privately owned businesses where the team can identify and influence strategic change
•Assist in the structuring and negotiations of equity investments, both from a commercial and technical perspective
•Incredibly strong technical skill both analytically and quantitatively, with a comprehensive understanding of fundamental investment analysis
•Co-ordinating with both lawyers, consultants and investment bankers on transactions
•Working on the monitoring and execution of strategic initiatives
•Demonstrating the ability to build and maintain effective partnership and relationships with key stakeholders across institutional investors, management teams across portfolios businesses and banks
•Have the ability to lead and manage work a number of work-streams.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
•2 years of M&A experience from a leading bulge bracket bank or boutique
•Italian or German language skills a must
•The individual needs to be a strong communicator, with the ability to balance competing priorities, build relationships and work independently with a keen eye for detail.
•Highly ambitious with maturity and the ability to keep calm under pressure.
•Degree from a leading University holding a Bachelors and or Masters
