Altus Partners has partnered with a leading Private Equity firm that is looking to bring on and add to their growing Fund Finance team. The business is going through an exciting growth phase and this individual will play a vital role in growing and developing the finance function. The role will work directly with all areas of the business and work closely with the Financial Controller in developing the area. The role offers the chance to learn about all aspects of the business’ operations and to influence and drive change.
The ideal candidate will have experience in an Audit Practice with a strong understanding of Funds. They will be joining a forward-looking environment and work with a dynamic team to develop controls and processes as the business grows. There is a strong emphasis on starting your projects throughout the firm as well as coming up with innovative solutions to complex issues.
•Oversight and responsibility for all Fund Accounting and Administration aspects of the Fund
•Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including Fund Administrators
•Ensuring quarterly and annual Fund Accounts and NAV is produced accurately promptly
•Providing input on accounting treatment for investment and related transactions, working as an intermediary between Investment Team and Fund Accounts production team
•Production and distribution of quarterly Investor Reporting
•Working with the Investment team and Controller on portfolio valuations
•Lead the annual audit process
•Maintaining fund model, liquidity management and actioning capital calls and distributions
•Calculation of advisory fees and processing of fund payments
•Dealing with investor queries and any other analysis as required
•Processing and monitoring of corporate entity payments
•Management of the expense system
•Calculation and processing of sub-advisory fees and recharges to other LGT entities
•Providing support on budget and management accounts variance analysis
•Helping develop and drive internal control and other process improvements
•Preparing ad hoc reporting or analysis as the business needs e.g. Audit, VAT or other tax compliance.
•Supporting the Controller in building out the portfolio monitoring and reporting systems and interfaces
•Assisting as required.
•Qualified Chartered Accountant: ACA, ACCA or equivalent
•University degree or equivalent
•1 – 2 Yrs. minimum post qualification experience
•Experience in either Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Fund Accounting, Tax and Compliance, Audi
•Experience and knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP financial reporting
•Good verbal and written communication skills
•High personal/professional ethics and integrity
•Analytical, strong communication skills, ability to influence others and to obtain buy-in, attention to detail, result-oriented with focus on a high degree of quality, pro-active, able to work accurately and under pressure, independent working style.
